Our hearing clinic

Our main clinic is located in Swindon and provides a modern, relaxed environment.

Leigh Treadaway

Audiologist

Leigh Treadaway decided to embark on creating an independent hearing care company late in 2017. Feeling restricted by his experience working for high street providers of hearing care, he felt let down by not being able to provide the very best solutions to people with hearing difficulties.

Cotswold Hearing Ltd was established in Sept 2017 enabling him to provide true independent advice and the very best in hearing technology. Now that he can work with all leading manufacturers of hearing devices you can be reassured that you will receive the very best the industry has to offer in regards to sound quality, performance and reliability.

Leigh is passionate about ensuring everyone who visits gets the most out of their hearing to ensure they can enjoy life to the fullest. From an ear wax removal consultation where the results are near instant, to a patient who has been putting off aiding their hearing for years for fear of stigmatisation – Leigh takes pride in providing the best solution to resolve the difficulties you are having.

Leigh enjoys the complexity that every day brings dealing with anatomical anomalies which require a steady hand and great understanding when removing obstructions from ear canals and fitting the correct style of hearing aid, along with the complexities regarding the reluctance people generally have when looking at aiding their hearing.

Leigh believes in the benefits better hearing brings and prioritises taking care and discussing the benefits and short term difficulties people may experience when they first embark on their hearing journey – ensuring the people he works with get the most out of their hearing and hearing aids.

In his spare time Leigh enjoys taking his daughter to her dance lessons and competitions, watching rugby and taking his camper van to the coast with his family to enjoy everything the British Isles has to offer, enjoying many trips to Devon and Cornwall to surf and bodyboard.

Cotswold hearing visit and provide a hearing care service on a Bi-monthly basis from all of our associated Optical branches. We provide ear wax removal, Hearing test and hearing aid services from all of our partner branches. Watchfield Opticians have been keeping our community eye health checked and monitored since 2004, the business was originally called Precision Eyewear and was set up as an outlet to the Precision Optical glazing lab that was situated on the Shrivenham 100 retail park. Ian who is one of our Optometrists, worked as a locum for Precision Eyewear. In 2010 Ian bought into the business and it was renamed ‘Watchfield Opticians’. Watchfield Opticians is only 8 miles from Swindon. We also cover Little Coxwell, Great Coxwell, Fernham, Longcot, Shirvenham, Uffington, Woolstone, Sevenhampton and Bourton.

We have an excellent choice of frames at Malmesbury Opticians.

We pride ourselves in the fact we hand pick all the frames we stock, We try to ensure that there will be something for all of our patients. Malmesbury opticians as it is known today, was originally D. Ivel Rees Opticians, and opened in November 1969. A lot of work was undertaken to convert 57 high street from a dairy to an Opticians. RJ Manns Opticians briefly took over for a short time in 1999. J. M. Forss Opticians then acquired the practice in approx. 2003. Jo pushed the practice forward, by introducing new equipment and re-designing the practice. David & Lydia both worked for Jo as locum Dispensing Opticians. They finally purchased the practice in November 2018 and quickly set about creating more space for clients to browse and introducing new equipment for the testing room.
